Joyce Albrecht


Wife of Stan L. Albrecht, President of Utah State University, 2005-

Joyce Albrecht is the first lady of Utah State University. She brought nearly 35 years of administrative experience in higher education in two different states to the position, primarily in fundraising. Since her husband's assumption of the presidency in February 2005, she has joined him in making students a top priority. She has hosted student groups at the president's home and helped raise scholarship funds. The teas she has hosted throughout the state have raised much-needed scholarships for the university's Women's Center. She serves the community of Cache Valley as a board member of the Cache Valley Center for the Arts, the Utah Opera Festival and Sunshine Terrace. As the university embarks on its first comprehensive campaign, she continues to contribute to fundraising through her stewardship of donors. Whether she's helping to cultivate donors or greeting guests at the president's home, she never forgets what Utah State University is all about - its service to students.
