Welcome to Women and Gender Studies
The Women and Gender Studies Program at Utah State University is a vibrant, exciting multidisciplinary collaboration of students and professors across campus who focus on the many facets and faces of gender and diversity.

WGS is unique at USU in bringing together men and women of all ethnicities and sexual orientations to explore the many ways that gender influence our lives and careers and worldviews. We engage in the study of masculinity and femininity from many perspectives, and the social forces that construct these identities. What is "gender," and how does it shape our understanding of social class, race and ethnicity, and sexuality--and the ways these things intersect to shape life opportunities, both in the United States and globally?

From Anthropology to Science, Business to Sociology, Creative Writing to Journalism--the WGS program provides the common ground for us to "transform the world," as writer Nikki Anyanna Stewart says. Come find out how you can change the world, too, for yourself and others.

About the Artist.
In Sojourn 5, a meeting takes place. It is a meeting with our past and present. We must go beyond what we have known to make room for a new intuitive insight.
