Ludi Romani

You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.

The Ludi Romani will be played next on Friday, April 4 from 5:30-9:00 pm in the Sky Room of the Taggart Student Center.

The Ludi Romani (Roman Games) were a religious festival in ancient Rome. They were held annually since 366 BC, normally from September 12 to September 14. These Ludi Romani are a re-enactment of the period between the asassination of Julius Caesar in 44 BC until the Battle of Actium in 31 BC. Players assume the roles of Senators, Generals, Kings and Gods (and in some cases Senators who are also generals who want to be king and think that they are a god) in a political and military struggle to become the most powerful man in the world
