This indicates that the sound file is an AU format file (a Sun/Next format) and that it is 770K (770 kilobytes or 770,000 bytes) in size. The file will take time to download. Once the whole file has been received, the Web Browser (such as Netscape) will have to launch an external application to play the sound file.
