All Utah students
in grades 4-12 can enter the Utah History Fair. If a student's school
or class does not participate in the program, the student can enter without
school affiliation under their parent's signature. In group entries, group
members need not all be of the same age or grade, however, the entry will compete
in the age division of the oldest group member. For example, if a group
entry contains two 8th graders and a 9th grader, the group would complete in
the Senior Age Division.
To enter the Utah History Fair program,
obtain a current UHF entry form. These are mailed
out in the December edition of the Mentor newsletter, are available online,
or can be obtained from the UHF office. If your class at school participates
in the program, your teacher will probably have forms for you.
Fill out and return the form to
the UHF office by February 1. A parent's signature is required. Students compete in the region in which they reside and go to school.
