Richard B. Call Memorial Scholarship Endowment

Richard Burleigh Call touched many lives over his 30-year career as an educator. He is a 1983 USU alum with a BFA in Acting. Richard taught drama and served as the coach of speech and debate teams. Countless students at Twin Falls High School, Edinburg High School, Burley High School, and the College of Southern Idaho remember him as an inspiring teacher, a fierce competitor, and a relentless practical joker. Many of his students also looked to Richard as a father figure who helped them through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

In his memory and to continue his tradition of influencing students’ lives, his family is establishing the Richard B. Call Memorial Scholarship Endowment in the Theatre Arts Department of the Caine College of the Arts at Utah State University.
