USU Alumni Scholarships


Utah State University offers a variety of alumni scholarships.  Funds for the scholarships are raised in a variety of ways, including private donations, earnings from endowments, and the Aggie License Plate program.

The following is a list of available scholarships. Applications, requirements, and deadlines for each scholarship vary. More information is available by clicking the link. Note: all the scholarships listed below (with the exception of the Alumni Legacy Nonresident Waiver) cannot be held or deferred. As Alumni Scholarships are 1 year awards, they must be used in the year they are awarded.

   Alumni Legacy Nonresident Waiver

Available to nonresident students whose parent or grandparent earned a degree from Utah State University.

Emeriti Sophomore Scholarship

Available to USU students (at least 12 USU credits but no more than 59 USU credits (according to USU official transcript – and this includes credits in progress), who demonstrate financial need, academic achievement, and leadership.

Sigma Alpha Epsilon Legacy Scholarship

Available to students whose parent or grandparent was an active member of the Phi Kappa Iota / Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

Chi Omega Legacy Scholarship

Available to students whose parent, grandparent, brother, or sister was an active member of the Alpha Gamma Chapter of Chi Omega.

J. Arza Adams Scholarship

Applications for the J. Arza Adams Scholarship will now be submitted through USU General Scholarship Application.

Nadine F. Gillmor Scholarship

Applications for the Nadine F. Gillmor Scholarship will now be submitted through USU General Scholarship Application

Reuben & Della Ward Scholarship

Applications for the Reuben & Della Ward Scholarship will now be submitted through USU General Scholarship Application

Logan High Student Athlete Scholarship Application

Alumni Legacy Resident Scholarship

ALL applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Be admitted as a first-time undergraduate student.
2. Have at last one parent or grandparent who earned an associate degree or higher from Utah State University
3. Intent to enroll at Utah State University. (Note, this scholarship cannot be deferred)
4. Apply by advertised deadline.
