USU Uintah Basin Students Help Monitor Northern Goshawk Populations in the Ashley National Forest

Under the guidance of USU Biology Associate Professor Becky Williams, students at USU Uintah Basin have the chance to participate in hands-on paid internship experiences as wildlife technicians studying wildlife ecology in the region. 

They focus on Northern Goshawks, Ferruginous Hawks, Greater Sage-grouse, and White-tailed Prairie Dogs. Working alongside wildlife biologists from cooperating agencies, including the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, Ashley National Forest, and the Green River District Vernal Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management.
