In this exhibition, David Yarrow invites us to truly connect with subjects we only think we have seen before. Yarrow takes the familiar and makes it new again by creating images that deliberately connect with us on a highly emotional level. Wild Encounters offers a truly intimate view of some of the world's most compelling—and threatened—species, capturing the splendor and very soul of what remains wild and free in our world through portraits that feel close enough to touch.

After many miles and days of hiking through relentless rain, six waterlogged strangers converge on a tiny mountain shelter. As they each attempt to dry out and struggle for their own small patch of relief, they soon discover that some journeys are not meant to be taken alone. There is an additional 2 p.m. matinee April 14.

8:00 pm - 10:00 pm    Desire, Love, Greed: Reflections on Fargo (1996)

Utah State University’s Moving Image and Video Art class, in collaboration with the USU Photo Guild, present their screening of Desire, Love, Greed: Reflections on Fargo (1996). The students in this class have created short films that draw inspiration from the 1996 film Fargo. Come to the screenings to watch nine different takes on Fargo’s story and cinematography as part of Logan, Utah’s Film Symposium on April 20th from 2:00 PM at the Huntsman Hall. Additionally, all student’s full projects will be screened during the University’s Film Night on April 18th, at 8:00 PM, in the Fine Arts Visual building room 150.
