We are excited to announce the 6th annual Empowering Teaching Excellence Conference at Utah State University. This event will energize and inspire you as you begin the next teaching year. Presentations are faculty submitted, faculty led, and focused on teaching innovations that have worked well right here at USU. Topics and presenters span multiple disciplines and delivery formats. Invitees include all who teach at USU, regardless of role statement or campus, including graduate student instructors and teaching assistants. Here are some things you can expect:

-Opportunities to network with other USU teachers.
-A chance to formally share your teaching ideas and innovations with others.
-Insightful breakout sessions.
-Graduate Student Instructor Track.
-Showcase examples of well-built instructional products.
-Staff on hand to help you with questions about Canvas and other tools.
-Updates on the latest improvements in educational technologies.

Social Power, Privilege and Difference Online Class

Are you frustrated because your voice isn't being heard or you are not being taken seriously? Please join the Center for Persons with Disabilities at USU for this exciting 8-week online class being offered August 5 through September 29 on Social Power, Privilege and Difference. The purpose of this class is to help you become more aware of your individual power and how you can use that power to advocate for yourself as well as others. Fee is $25. Exhibit: " Woman Speaking to Women: The Political Art of Nina Allender"

Exhibition

An exhibit of eight pieces of cartoons and other work by Nina Allender, the Suffragist art director and chief cartoonist. The exhibit includes The Suffragist reproductions and photographs. Visit the museum Tuesday - Friday 10 am - 4 pm and the first Saturday of the month 10 am - 2 pm.

"Catharsis in Creative Journaling": writing workshop with USU Writing Center and Logan Library

The Cache Valley Community Writing Center and USU Writing Center present a free August Writing Workshop: "Catharsis in Creative Journaling" with Shaun Anderson. Workshop is 5:00-6:00 PM, free one-on-one writing tutoring available from 6:00-7:00 PM.
