The video Worst Lecture Ever (Masland, 2020) was deliberately produced to illustrate a wide range of ineffective practices while teaching on zoom. Some of these practices may be familiar – we might even implement a few of them ourselves on our less-than-stellar days. Whether you teach in a classroom or online, come laugh and learn with colleagues as we watch the video, identify problematic practices, analyze why they’re problematic, and discuss what to do instead.

Science Unwrapped - Robots in a Human World

Panel Discussion/Presentation | Science Unwrapped

Inquiring minds of all ages are invited to Science Unwrapped, the public outreach program of USU's College of Science. Featured speaker is USU computer scientist Mario Harper, who presents "Hard Choices: Being a Robot in a Human World" at 7 pm in the Emert Auditorium (ESLC 130) of the Eccles Science Learning Center on USU's Logan campus. Admission is free. Dr. Harper's talk will be recorded and posted on Science Unwrapped's website following the talk: www.usu.edu/science/unwrapped

Ghosts! by Henrik Ibsen, translated by Richard Eyre: UST Staged Reading

Helene Alving has spent her life suspended in an emotional void after the death of her cruel but outwardly charming husband. She is determined to escape the ghosts of her past by telling her son, Oswald, the truth about his father. But on his return from his life as a painter in France, Oswald reveals how he has already inherited the legacy of Alving’s dissolute life. The reading is directed by Leslie Brott.
