NEHMA Holiday Food Drive
Student Activities
Clear out your pantries before the end of the semester by donating to the Student Nutrition Access Center (SNAC)! NEHMA is organizing a Holiday Food Drive this December from the 1st to the 16th, and all of the proceeds are being donated to Student Nutrition Access Center (SNAC). This food drive is for canned food or any non-perishable items. Donation boxes can be found around USU Logan Campus -NEHMA (Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art) -USU library -USU Inclusion Center -The Junction -The Marketplace -The Quickstop -Shaw’s
Fall Undergraduate Student Research Symposium

The Fall Student Research Symposium is USU’s non-competitive celebration of undergraduate research and creative work. Held each December, students from every discipline share poster or oral presentations to the broader public.
"Donate a meal from your meal plan" Fundraiser
Fundraiser
Twice a year USU Dining Services and the Christensen Office of Social Action & Sustainability team up to raise money for local food pantries. Every fall, we ask Aggies with meal plans to donate one meal from their cards. The meal is translated into dollars, and then Dining Services donates that dollar amount to the Cache Community Food Pantry. The CCFP donates 2,000lbs of food to our campus SNAC pantry every week, and we want to give back in this small (or big!) way. Stop by our booth at the entrances of the Marketplace (11am-1pm) or the Junction (5-7pm) to donate a meal from your plan and know that you're helping a community resource in time for the holiday season!
Lunch & Learn: Aetna - Simplify Your Life
Workshop/Training
Between smartphones, constant information, home demands, work demands and lengthy to-do lists, it’s easy to get overwhelmed with life. We’re always plugged in. It’s no wonder so many people feel stressed. By simplifying your life, you remove distractions so you can focus on what matters. This training will discuss how to recognize that modern life is causing you stress, why keeping things simple can help you focus on what you love, ways to prioritize what really matters to you, and tips to simplify your life. Attendance and participation in this event qualify as an activity for the Be Well Rewards program.
Working With Student Veterans 101 Training
Panel Discussion/Presentation | Diversity, equity, and Inclusion
Dr. Aaron Ahern, PhD and Dr. Michael Foster, PhD, CRC from the Department of Veteran Affairs in collaboration with U.S. Army LTC (Retired) Andy Allen, Director of USU's Veterans Resource Office, will host a 90 minute presentation and discussion titled, "Working With Student Veterans 101." The aim of the presentation is to help faculty and staff better understand the student veteran experience thus empowering them to be more successful mentors and advisors.

USU Central Energy Plant Tour

Come Dec. 8 @ 4:30 and tour the USU Central Energy Plant with the ANS Club! You may not know this, but more than 2 miles of tunnels run below our feet as we walk to class every day. These tunnels provide heating and cooling for all the buildings and residence halls on campus.
AJEDI Series: Heart2Heart Workshop
Workshop/Training
Heart2Heart (H2H) is a theoretically-grounded intervention developed by people of color for people of color. In this series, we will build a community of support as participants learn about intersectional identities, racial wellness, microaggressions, empowerment, and microinterventions. Over the course of 8 weeks, we will build a Wellness Toolbox together and practice mindfulness.
