Lunch & Learn - New Year, New You: Creating Sustainable Nutrition & Fitness Goals

USU Be Well along with Registered Dietitian, Brooke Lister and Certified Strength Coach, Tony Popoca present a lunch and learn on creating sustainable health goals. The new year is filled with new resolutions to lose weight, but they often don't last past January. Although losing weight can be good for overall health, focusing on weight loss alone can lead to cycles of losing and regaining weight, lower self-esteem, and a preoccupation with food and body image. You'll find more success if you set goals that focus on health instead of weight loss only. This presentation will discuss behaviors, goals, and strategies that will lead to more sustainable outcomes in the way you look and feel! *Presentation is available in person and virtually and will be recorded. Attendance and participation in this event qualify as an activity for the Be Well Rewards program.

Aetna Webinar - Thriving In Your Empty Nest

Aetna, USU's Employee Assistance Program provider, presents a Resources For Living webinar on thriving in your empty nest. Have your children flown the "nest"? Do you sometimes feel sad and lonely? If so, you may have "empty nest syndrome" – a common feeling for parents when adult kids leave home. Join this webinar to find out what your feelings are about, why separation can be complex and painful, and what you can do to feel better and succeed in this new stage of life. *Presentation recording will be available on the EAP site. Visit the hr.usu.edu/aggies-thrive for more information.
