Join USU Libraries for an afternoon of creativity and free pizza at Zines & ‘Za! Drop in to the Innovation Hub anytime between 3:00 - 4:30pm on Thursday, October 3, to make your own zine—a small, handmade publication where you can express your ideas, art, or humor however you want.

Last Lecturers from the past half century will recognized during the event.

Guest lecturer, Dr. Fazilat Soukhakian (Department of Art + Design, College of Arts and Sciences) has been nominated as the 2025 Honors Outstanding Professor. Dr. Soukhakian’s talk, titled “Not So Different After All: A Visual Story of Shared Humanity,” will use photographic storytelling to prompt audience reflection on their own experiences and connections.

Harvest Rescue

Student Activities

Harvest Rescue coordinates available ready-to-harvest produce from tree and garden owners with local volunteers to pick and donate the produce to organizations who can use it. Volunteers who harvest and pick produce are required to wear closed toed shoes and be respectful of the tree/land owners property. Volunteers under the age of 18 are required to have adult supervision during sessions. Volunteers are permitted to take home a small portion of the harvested produce in appreciation for their support.

Come learn how to operate a CNC Plasma Cutter! This workshop is designed to introduce you to the basics of CNC plasma cutting and will cover the following topics: preparing a file for CNC plasma cutting, programming suitable tool paths, setting up the workpiece correctly, and operating a CNC plasma cutter. Three Corners of Europe, featuring the USU Symphony Orchestra and the Fry Street Quartet

Symphonic journey through Europe starting with picturesque Romanian Folk Dances by Bela Bartok, followed by elegant English work by Edward Elgar and concluding with the most joyful of all Beethoven symphonies - his mighty Symphony No. 7.
The Fry Street Quartet are featured soloists in the Elgar composition.
The concert marks the first appearance of the new director of the USU Symphony Orchestra, Mariusz Smolij.
