Ann Marie Wallace is a purpose-driven leader and a champion for women entrepreneurs, serving as the State Director of the Women's Business Center of Utah (WBCUtah). Under her more than 13 years of leadership, she has transformed WBCUtah from a local resource into the state’s largest and most influential technical assistance center for women-owned businesses. Ann Marie is widely recognized for her strategic vision and significant impact. She has quadrupled staff, tripled the budget, and scaled the center's reach to serve over 1,500 women across all 29 counties of Utah. She also spearheaded the creation of the state's first public Women-Owned Business Directory, launched multiple training programs, and developed an Online Academy with courses taught by Utah's top women entrepreneurs. A former WBCUtah client herself, Ann Marie brings a unique blend of empathy and lived experience to her role. She is passionate about building partnerships and fostering an inclusive economy where women have the confidence and support to not only succeed but thrive.

The Sorenson Impact Institute’s Impact Investing team is seeking venture capital analyst interns for the 2026-2027 academic year. Interns will gain unparalleled exposure to impact investing and early-stage venture capital, working alongside professional investors through all facets of the process including deal sourcing, due diligence, deal structuring/closing, and portfolio support.

This is not your typical internship experience. Students will play a key role in investing approximately $4 million in companies that will generate impact alongside financial returns.

Alumni have started careers in venture capital, investment banking, impact investing, and management consulting at companies such as: Carta, Bridge Investment Group, Bain & Company, Pelion, McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Goldman Sachs, Peterson Partners, and more.

Entrepreneurship Center: SEED Case Competition

Join us for this opportunity to compete, collaborate, and make an impact! The SEED Case Competition challenges students to solve a real-world business problem from one of our SEED international partners. The case will be introduced on October 21, and team presentations will take place on October 28. Work together to analyze, innovate, and pitch your best solution to a panel of judges. The top team will receive a $1,250 award to go on SEEDxp to Mexico, an international experience supporting entrepreneurs abroad.
