Stream Restoration at Scofield with Trout Unlimited

Student Activities

The USU Eastern Chapter of The Wildlife Society will be assisting Trout Unlimited in a stream restoration project on Mud Creek, above Scofield Reservoir. We will be planting willows along a degraded section of the stream to improve drinking water quality and fish habitat. Join us for a fun day in the aspen trees above Price.

Fall Break: Cataract Canyon Rafting Trip

Recreation

We are heading up to Cataract Canyon for a week of rafting and camping. We will spend nights around the fire and raft the thrilling rapids of the River. Participants must be able to swim. Trip cost includes food, transportation, permit fees, rafting equipment, tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad and student leadership.

Aggie First Scholars Fall Clothing Swap

In partnership with Blue Reuse, Aggie First Scholars is excited to host our second annual Fall Clothing Swap! Ready for a fresh look? Clean out your closet and trade for something new at the TSC Patio. Donations will be accepted on the day of the swap. This year, we’re introducing a professional attire rack. Faculty and staff who wish to donate blazers, ties, slacks, or other professional clothing may drop them off in TSC 242G before the event or bring them the day of the swap.

World Mental Health Day Celebration

USU will be hosting its sixth annual campus-wide celebration of World Mental Health Day. This event is aimed at promoting mental health awareness and providing valuable resources to our campus community, students, faculty, and staff. The day will include a support walk, a drum circle, yoga classes, information booths from benefit vendors and campus resources and more. The Office of Human Resources, Campus Recreation, and CAPS have partnered in planning the day’s events. Harvest Rescue

Student Activities

Harvest Rescue coordinates available ready-to-harvest produce from tree and garden owners with local volunteers to pick and donate the produce to organizations who can use it. Volunteers who harvest and pick produce are required to wear closed toed shoes and be respectful of the tree/land owners property. Volunteers under the age of 18 are required to have adult supervision during sessions. Volunteers are permitted to take home a small portion of the harvested produce in appreciation for their support.
