The Art of Fashion: Designs Inspired by NEHMA

Exhibition

Apparel Design students in FCSE 3040: Patternmaking, will be showcasing their half-scale fashion designs inspired by artwork currently on display at the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art (NEHMA). A reception for the designers will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 2-4pm at NEHMA. The student's work can been seen from November 8-24 at NEHMA.

This concert will showcase new works by USU student and faculty composers, inspired by the artworks and themes of the exhibitions currently on view. Audience members are invited to walk through the galleries during the performance, experiencing the music in conversation with the visual art that inspired it.

Museum+Music: “Composing the West” A minifestival curated and performed by students in the USU music department featuring performances of original student compositions and other works all in dialogue with the exhibitions “Repainting the I: The Intermountain Intertribal Indian School Murals,” “Eagle Village: Sheila Nadimi,” and “Exploding Native Inevitable.” This concert will consist of new works composed by USU student composers inspired by the artworks and themes of the exhibitions on show. Audience members will be invited to walk through the galleries during the performance, experiencing the music alongside the visual art that inspired it.
