We will have experts on hand from Utah State University Extension and the Utah Department of Workforce Services to review and critique a resume as you watch and then review some of the most important resume writing skills and guidelines including: - Targeting your resume to fit the job description - Quantifying your accomplishments and experience - Resume formatting, look, and feel - and more! Have a copy of your resume available to take notes. You'll also learn how to look at your resume alongside a job description and tweak it enough to make it through applicant tracking filters.

Utah's Land, Water, and Air On-Campus Student Discussion

Enjoy hot chocolate and cookies in the LSB while you learn about the latest research on Utah's land, water, and air! The Janet Quinney Lawson Institute for Land, Water, and Air is hosting a student event to discuss key topics from the recently released 2025 Report to the Governor and Legislature on Utah's Land, Water, and Air. This report highlighted multiple concepts relevant to Utah's natural resource policy, spanning the cut flower industry, water and the Great Salt Lake, the science of airplane contrails, and more! Research in this report was primarily sourced from our outstanding faculty at USU and earned praise from legislators and scientists who gathered in Salt Lake City at the release event on October 16th. The student activity will feature a presentation, open discussion, and light refreshments.
