EmpowerED Workshop: Inclusive Teaching
Workshop/Training | EmpowerED Series
This hour-long workshop focuses on fostering inclusive teaching strategies in face-to-face classroom settings. Participants will explore practical methods for creating an equitable classroom environment that respects and supports students and their learning preferences. Through discussions and activities, attendees will learn to design syllabi, facilitate discussions, and implement assessments that promote belonging and participation for all students.

EmpowerED Workshop: Getting Started with the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning
Workshop/Training | EmpowerED Series
Curious about how to turn your classroom into a site for scholarly inquiry? This one-hour introductory workshop will help faculty explore the fundamentals of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), including how to frame meaningful research questions about student learning, identify relevant methods, and begin designing a SoTL project based on their own teaching. Participants will leave with practical resources, sample studies, and guidance for taking their first steps into SoTL.

Join accredited financial counselors for a festive, interactive workshop packed with expert tips to help you shop smarter, stress less, and savor more. The holidays are full of cheer, but they can also bring financial stress if you’re not prepared. In this workshop, you’ll discover practical strategies to make your holiday grocery trips less stressful and more intentional—so you can keep your cart (and your wallet) full of what really matters. In this session, you’ll learn how to: Create a holiday grocery budget that works in real life (and still leaves room for treats!) Outsmart marketing tricks and impulse buys that sneak into your cart Use AI and other tools to save time, money, and reduce food waste—so you can focus on the joy of the season *Presentation will be recorded. Attendance and participation in this event qualify as an activity for the Be Well Rewards program.

Whether you are in a “gateway community” or not, learn ways astrotourism can be monetized when there is access to naturally dark skies and proper planning for long-term success.
