Call for 2025 Presidential Award Nominations
Ceremony/Awards/Celebration
Each year, USU recognizes the work of outstanding faculty, staff, students, partners, and alumni that exemplifies collaboration between USU and the greater community and demonstrates ongoing commitment to community engagement and positive social change. The Center for Community Engagement has three prestigious awards for students, faculty, and community members who are committed to outstanding service: The Presidential Award, the Ivory Prize, and the Val R. Christensen Service Scholarship. Deadline for nominations Saturday, March 15, 2025, 11:59pm. Award ceremony takes place Wednesday, April 16, 2025 5pm-5pm in TSC Lounges.

The Center for Community Engagement invites students, faculty, and staff to share exemplary community-engaged practice, research, or teaching in our annual poster session. Audience Award Winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to a local business. Submissions are due through the website provided below by 11:59pm Friday, April 11, 2025. Poster session to take place in the TSC Lounges Wednesday, April 16, 2025, 4:00pm-5:00pm.

Mini Makers Toddler Art Exploration Program

Mini Makers: Toddler Art Exploration is designed for toddlers ages 2-5 to experience art through singing, playing, moving, and making. Join us at the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art from 10:00-10:45 AM or 11:00-11:45 AM. The program is $5/child and prior registration is required.

Cross Country Ski Trip

Let's go cross-country skiing! Come spend a few hours gliding on snow up Logan Canyon. We will explore one of the many cross country ski friendly areas in our big campus backyard. Trip cost includes cross country equipment rental, transportation and student leadership.

Communitas Lecture Series: Renee Cox

Renee Cox is a renowned Jamaican-American artist, photographer, and activist whose work challenges societal norms surrounding race, gender, and identity. Born in 1960 in Colgate, Jamaica, and raised in New York, Cox is known for using her art as a platform to address issues of oppression, the representation of Black bodies, and the intersections of race and feminism.
The Communitas Lecture Series is a set of visiting artists, scholars, and design series. This series is free and open to the public!
Engineering 360° Maker Space Workshop: Introduction to Welding

Creators Needed! - GAS Club Outreach Team Information Session

The GAS Student Satellite club is looking for people to help with outreach! You do not need to have satellite-specific experience. We are looking for graphic designers, social media creators, and teachers to help spread the word about our club.
Currently, the GAS Team is particularly looking for individuals who have interest or experience in the following areas:
- Graphic design (design apparel and promotional materials)
- Video production (create videos for use in outreach/promotional material)
- Business development (secure funding and maintain a strong relationship with industry sponsors and university connections)
- Outreach (assist with the Bring Utah Students to Space program, educating K-12 students and putting their names on the satellite)
