Arrington Mormon History Lecture

"Redeeming a People: The Critical Role of Historical Examination in Moving Cultural and Moral Trajectories" Gathered from a wide variety of historical sources we arrive at the seminal revelation received by Spenser W. Kimball in June 1978, which recalibrated the future for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its members of Black African descent. This year’s 40th anniversary of that world changing event is reviewed through the eyes of African American convert Darius Gray who joined the faith in 1964. September 20, 2018, 7:00 pm, Logan LDS Tabernacle.
