Colorado Plateau Dark Sky Cooperative’s Quarterly CONNECTIONS

TODAY’s TOPIC: Cultural Connections with the Night Sky People connect with the night sky in many ways. In this session, we will discuss how our experiences and culture shape our relationship, our values, and perspectives towards dark night skies. Our guest speakers include Ben Rupert, Cultural Specialist and Destination Development Lead for Nevada's Indian Territory, and Ravis Henry, Park Interpretive Ranger, with the National Park Service, Canyon de Chelly National Monument. The Quarterly CONNECTIONS include a series of interactive virtual meetings focused on ways to minimize light pollution and support the preservation and promotion of naturally dark night skies. Registration is free but required in advance: https://extension.usu.edu/iort/cp-darkskies/quarterly-connections.
