USU Physics November Demo Show

Why don't tops tip over while spinning? How do you throw a curve ball? How do you sail a ship without a sail? How do you blow out a candle from across the room? Ready for some fascinating, exciting and LOUD science-learning fun? USU Physics invites science enthusiasts of all ages to its annual November Demo Show Friday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. in the Eccles Science Learning Center Emert Auditorium (ESLC 130). Enjoy nearly an hour of eye-popping, mind-bending, non-stop physics demonstrations! Admission is free. USU physicist James Coburn leads the annual event, which has become a favorite Cache Valley kick-off to Thanksgiving Week. Coburn says he was inspired to create the show, now in its 18th year, by England’s Royal Institution Christmas Lectures, which have been a popular British tradition since 1825. Questions?
