Little Naturalist is the perfect program for 3 to 5 year olds who are curious about animals, their habitats, the environment, and exploring nature. Join us twice a month, October through May, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. to read a specially selected nature-themed book, explore the natural world, and complete a craft. Some favorites include snowshoeing on the Preserve, interacting with live reptiles and amphibians, upcycling old materials into holiday decorations, and much more! Cost is $2.00 per youth participant, or buy a $15.00 punch card good for 10 programs. Only one punch card required per family and never expires. Payment will be taken at the door the day of the program. One caregiver must accompany children to participate. Please be prepared to adventure outdoors!

Art and science come together at the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art's January Family Art Day! Plant scientists use art skills to document new plants. Some are even hiring managers that look at resumes A LOT and have a pretty good idea on how to stand out among hundreds of resumes! The USU Music Therapy Student Association will be presenting information on what music therapy is, and how it can be applied in fields that other students are studying. We will be giving a special invitation to students studying education, SPED, Pre-Med fields, physical therapy, speech therapy, psychotherapy, and occupational therapy, as these closely relate to music therapy in clientele and purpose. The presentation will include informational booths and demonstrations of how music therapy can be applied in these settings and with these specific populations.

Inquiring minds of all ages are invited to Science Unwrapped at USU, the public outreach program of Utah State University's College of Science. Admission is FREE! As part of our Spring 2018 "Science of Art" Series (celebrating USU's "Year of the Arts"), we welcome USU biologists Zach Gompert and Lauren Lucas, who will teach us about 20th century, Russian-American novelist Vladimir Nabokov's work with butterflies. (Many people know he was a novelist; he was a professional entomologist, too!) Gompert and Lucas speak Friday, January 26, at 7 pm in the Emert Auditorium (ESLC 130) of the Eccles Science Learning Center on the USU campus.
