I truly enjoy teaching and learning about child development. I live in Hyde Park and have a magnificent husband and four fantastic children. I graduated from Utah State with a BS in secondary education. I find early childhood so fascinating that I have spent my time here instead of with the big kids. I operated a family childcare from 2001-2019.
After I closed my childcare, I came to Care About Childcare fulltime, which has been thoroughly enjoyable. But, I do miss quiet time. I avidly like to travel. I love reading. I enjoy camping in the wilderness, but with a camp trailer so it is not too rough.

I have been working for Care About Childcare as an Early Childhood Specialist since 2022, following my husband’s transfer to Utah. I am originally from Southern California where I taught in the classroom for 15 years, was an active foster parent, and earned a specialized Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education Trauma Studies from Pacific Oaks College. My role as an Early Childhood Specialist includes coaching centers, completing CCQS observations, and maintaining reliability in the Environmental Rating Scales. In my free time, I enjoy watching hockey, attending concerts, volunteering in my community, and outdoor sports such as kayaking and snowboarding. I am excited to be apart of the trainer team here at Care About Childcare!

grew up in Moab, Utah, and have lived in Cache Valley for ten years. I have a Master’s degree in Family, Consumer, and Human Development with an emphasis in Early Childhood Development.  I love teaching online and doing Care About Childcare classes. Our little family loves to be outside, gardening, cutting flowers and visiting family. In the colder months we love watching hockey, baking, and hand-dipping chocolates.
