Sexual Misconduct Compliance Training Materials

The Office of Equity uses the following training materials in annual trainings for USU employees and students. These trainings include information about USU’s sexual misconduct policies as well as information about resources and reporting options for those impacted by sexual misconduct.

Some of the information covered in this training is subject to change. The Department of Education recently amended the regulations that implement Title IX. These amendments are currently subject to litigation and have been enjoined in the state of Utah. The Office of Equity will contact you directly and also notify the campus community of any changes made to comply with amended Title IX regulations, if required.

Employee Trainings

Most USU employees are required to complete an annual training about how to respond to disclosures of sexual misconduct. These materials are used in the live trainings.

Employees in specific groups such as Public Safety, Athletics, and Residence Life receive a tailored training for their role. Training alternatives are provided upon request for employees who’ve had past experiences related to sexual misconduct. Many non-designated employees complete a self-paced training online. Please contact the Office of Equity for those training materials.
