Utah State University (USU) Regional Campuses held it’s 2nd annual Regional Campus Faculty Workshop, featuring two days of keynotes, breakout sessions, networking, and the opportunity to address issues relevant to them. USU Eastern in Price hosted the event with Executive Vice President and Provost Frank Galey kicking off the conference with a keynote speech.

After Galey’s keynote, the faculty separated to attend breakout sessions covering the collaborative process between an instructor and instructional designer to create an online course, why and how to apply for the Fulbright, how to engage students in online and distance courses, and more. Nelda Ault-Dyslin, service center coordinator, closed Thursday’s breakout sessions with a keynote address on community engaged learning. Mitchell Colver, manager and senior data analyst at USU’s Center for Student Analytics, provided a keynote address at Thursday night’s dinner, breaking down how the faculty and student relationship is the center of the university.

On Friday, Emmalee Fishburn, USU’s prevention specialist at the Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Office, reviewed Title IX and the responsibilities of faculty members. The conference wrapped up with a question and answer session moderated by Vice Provost Rich Etchberger, Vice President Dave Woolstenhulme, and Assistant Vice President Taylor Adams.
