How do I get my loan(s) adjusted (increased/decreased/re-offered/canceled)?
Visit our office (TSC 106) with photo ID or call us with your A# and SecurityPhrase.
I’m taking a break from school, what do I need to do?
Complete a leave of absence form at loa.usu.edu. This information is sent to the Financial Aid Office so your award can be adjusted and to the Registrar’s Office so your admissions status can be put on hold. If you have taken out federal student loans, please contact your loan servicer, their contact information can be found at nslds.ed.gov.
Is there anything else I need to do to receive my financial aid?
Make sure any unsatisfied requirements on your To Do List are complete; you can review your To Do List at my.usu.edu → Banner → Financial Aid (FAFSA) Menu → A. To-Do List
When will I receive my refund (extra financial aid)?
Students with direct deposit set up should see the funds in their bank account within 2-3 days. If you do not have direct deposit set up, a check is sent to the mailing address you have on myUSU. To set up direct deposit login to my.usu.edu → Banner → Financial Aid (FAFSA) Menu → F. Direct Deposit.
Most financial aid questions can be answered over the main phone line or in-person by visiting our office.
If you have unusual circumstances, you are welcome to schedule an appointment with your financial aid counselor.
