The Department of Geosciences uses multiple measures to assess outcomes, both for student and overall program effectiveness.

Assessment of student learning is accomplished by using:

• Content-learning evaluation (new in 2017-2018)
• Student performance in courses, especially GEO 4700 and GEO 5200 (Field Methods and Field Camp)
