Welcome to the new website for Jim Evans, the structural geologist at Utah State University. Other James Evanses can be found as a sedimentologist at Bowling Green State, a reproductive endrocronologist at Johns Hopkins, and a cancer geneticist at UNC. I am not they. I am a structural geology professor at USU since 1987, and have taught and done research in a wide range of topics. My teaching ranges from Geo 101 to Geo 6250 - Mechanics of Earth Processes. Research tends to focus on brittle to semibrittle deformation and fluid-rock interactions in the Earth.

The following pages provide more information on these topics. If you are interested in studies at USU in Geology, try starting here:http://geology.usu.edu/. For general information about USU,http://www.usu.edu/.
