Bathrooms

Each apartment has two bathrooms. One room contains a bathtub/shower, shower curtain and a sink. The other room contains a toilet and an additional sink.

Laundry

High-efficiency, Energy Star® washers and dryers are installed that clean effectively, help save time and are gentle on your clothes and the environment! High-efficiency, front loading machines hold more clothes and use less water than conventional laundry equipment.

For best washing results:

• Use 2 Tbsp. of concentrated HE detergent (it's specially formulated for these machines)
• Choose a cold water setting to save energy
• Wash only full loads

For best drying results:

• Clean dryer filter before use

What To Bring What NOT To Bring 

Bring these items and make it your "home away from home"

• Bedding: sheets, blankets, pillow, pillowcases, and bedspread. Mattresses are 36” x 80”  (Twin XL, longer than a regular twin bed).
• Towels and toiletries
• Laundry basket
• Alarm clock
• Stereo, radio
• Computer
• Television (each apartment has cable TV hook-up)
• Wall decor, throw pillows, various decorative items as desired.

(Please do not use anything that may damage the walls to hang décor We recommend using Command Picture Hanging Strips/Hooks by 3M)

In addition to your personal belongings, you will need items for your kitchen. Check with your roommates in advance to avoid duplication. You may even want to wait until after you move in and purchase items after consulting each other. The following is a list of possibilities:

• Dishes, silverware, glasses, serving dishes
• Mixing bowls, hand mixer
• Cutting board, measuring cups and spoons
• Salt and pepper shakers
• Dishtowels, dishcloths, hot pads
• Frying pan, pots and pans
• Dish drainer
• Egg beater, strainer, can opener
• Cheese grater, vegetable peeler
• Clothes iron, small kitchen appliances

Storage space in all buildings is very limited. Please plan accordingly.

Housekeeping & Maintenance

Residents are responsible for cleaning their apartment, which includes the bathroom and should stock household cleaning supplies and toilet paper. Vacuum cleaners can be checked out for temporary use at the area office. Repairs and regular maintenance of residence halls is done by Housing Facilities staff. Residence may submit maintenance requests here.

Block Meal Plans

Block meal plans work like any prepaid card. Purchase a number of meals which are loaded onto your card and can be used at any time. These meals never expire. Great for students looking to supplement their own cooking with the convenience of eating on campus every now and then.

Housing Meal Plans

These meal plans have an allotted number of meals per week. You can use the meals whenever you'd like throughout the week, and they'll reset every Saturday. Great for students that plan on eating on campus frequently.

Cash Equivalency

All meal plans include a cash equivalency of $7.00 that can be used toward food purchases at any of the dining locations on campus. Purchases over the $7.00 amount are to be paid by the student at the time of purchase.
