Residence Life Staff

Family and Single Area Coordinator

Richard Workman

(435) 797-6382

I started my career at USU as a RA in 2001, and after graduating with my Bachelor’s Degree I was planning to move on to get my Master’s Degree immediately. I thought that working as a Residence Director would work out for the time that I would be in the Master’s Program and it so happened that Housing needed an Interim Residence Director to replace someone who was going to military training for an extended period of time. I got the Interim Position and over the course of the next two years discovered that I loved working in Housing at the professional level as much as I did at the RA level. I love the work we do in Housing and I love seeing the effect for the better that we can have on our residents and now on my staff.

I'm from Kaysville, UT; This will be my 5th year at USU, and I've loved every minute of it! I'm a student in the Coordinated Dietetics Program and feel very grateful to be attending such a wonderful university--the quality of education that USU offers with its wonderful staff and enriching experiences available to students and their families is unparalleled. I have lived at Aggie Village for almost a year, and appreciate the strong sense of community that thrives here.

Daphne Rodriguez
Buildings 7-9

Hello everyone, my name is Daphne and I'm originally from Dominican Republic. I am currently doing a master's program in Animal Health and Disease with the hopes of becoming a veterinarian in the future. I love traveling, dancing and just adventures. I have lived in Logan for about 3 years and think it is an amazing place to go to school. There are so many things to do outdoors, it is incredibly beautiful! I am excited to get the school year started and get to know everyone!

Rylie Cook
Buildings 10-15

I am a senior in the social work program and I have really enjoyed my four years here at Utah State. I love being involved with the university and helping students succeed!

Risha Russon
Buildings 16-21

Hi! I am from Monticello, UT. I am graduating in Economics with a minor in History in December. My husband is studying Mechanical Engineering with Math and Computer Science minors.

I enjoy learning, reading, family history, board games, cooking, and crafting. I also enjoy being outdoors and gardening. I play several musical instruments including the organ and piano. I love being an RA, and I look forward to my second year. I am passionate about helping my residents be successful, and I love the opportunities available in the Residence Hall Association where I have been involved as an RA and a resident for three years. I know that many students in FASA don't know about all of the amazing resources USU has to offer, and I hope that I can help residents to have an enriching experience while here at USU.

Jared & Tiffany McRory
Buildings 22-27

We both love Logan and the culture up here at USU.  Tiffany graduated in May with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and has enjoyed working as a personal trainer in a physical therapy clinic.  Jared is studying civil engineering and is loving every minute of his time here.  This year will be our first year as resident assistants, and we are really looking forward to getting to know the community a little better.  We both love sports, photography, and food of any kind.

Luis & Chelsea Armenta
Buildings  28-33

Hello! I am Chelsea Armenta and I have been married for a little over a year now. I love children and teach at a Preschool here in Logan. Both me and my husband are Resident Assistants and we are super excited to get to know new faces in our community. We both love to serve and help those around us. I love USU because there are so many wonderful people here and many opportunities. I love the idea of being able to bless and influence someone's life for good!

Emily Marshall
Buildings 34-39

I'm married to the most amazing man and have 2 awesome kids (ages 3 and 1).  Our favorite part about being up here at USU is definitely the ice cream.  I'm excited to meet you guys!

Tien Lindsay

I'm a Biology major, and I chose USU because my husband always wanted to be a True Blue Aggie. I'm excited to be an RA because I get great perks and meet new people all the time! I love living on campus because it’s close to campus, there is a great vibe, and it’s safe and secure. There are great people and housing provides awesome resources for everyone to enjoy and benefit from.

West Stadium Villa

Shalleen Balle

My name is Shalleen Balle and I am the Resident Assistant for West Stadium Villa. My family and I have lived in Logan since April of 2012 and we fell in love with the area. I started working for housing in May of 2013. I was an RA in Aggie Village for two years and then eventually we worked our way down to the BEST housing area EVER, WEST STADIUM VILLA. We have been living in West Stadium Villa since May 2015. I graduated Spring 2014 with my bachelor's degree in Human Movement Science with an emphasis in Exercise Science. My husband is working on his bachelor's and master's degrees in Biological Engineering; he is in the concurrent program here at USU. We have three daughters; our oldest was born in November of 2010, our middle was born in June of 2013, and our youngest was born in September of 2015. I love living in West Stadium Villa and being a part of Family Housing. There are some amazing amenities that come with living here. I enjoy being active and getting to know new people. Some of my hobbies include: organizing, event planning, decorating, gardening, cooking, crafting, socializing, reading books, learning new things, yoga, exercise, volleyball, and spending time with my family. Some of my dislikes are: inadequate sleep (I do not do very well with little sleep), trees planted right under telephone wires, washing dishes, taking out the garbage, and sweating in the car (I have to have the AC blasting during the summer).

RHA Executive

Crysi Muhwezi
RHA National Communications Coordinator

I love USU because it provides opportunities to be involved for students and their families. One of the joys of living among the married students on campus is that as a spouse I can also be involved. As the National Communications Coordinator I am most looking forward to attending regional and national conferences and taking other students with me. I also love to sing, be loud, and march to the beat of my drum (or flute)!
