Rich Etchberger

Biography

Rich Etchberger began his career in the Department of Wildland Resources in the S.J. & Jessie E. Quinney College of Natural Resources at the Uintah Basin Campus in 1995. He encouraged students to see how they could make an impact on natural resources and the economy at the small, rural campus. Etchberger has received 65 grants with more than $2.4 million in funding to help support more than 300 undergraduate research and internship students during his time with the university. In 2015, he was named the Carnegie Professor of the Year for the state of Utah by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
