Course Description
 

Minarets are towers from which a specially trained herald can call the Moslem faithful to prayer. The term minaret seems to derive from the word manara, "a place for fire," which may be reminiscent of the lighthouse at Alexandria, and has suggested to a few scholars that there is some sort of historical connection between them.
