Course Procedures

This is primarily a lecture-and-discussion class.

Lectures. Lectures will be illustrated, especially those on art and architecture, and will prove, I hope, active learning experiences, that is, engaging and thought-provoking intellectual safaris. Given that, I encourage and promote your questions, but please hold them until the end of or after class when I will give you the opportunity to ask questions. Please do not interrupt lectures!

Discussion. After the lectures in each Part of the class, we will hold a Class Discussion, in which groups called Pentads will meet in class and create a Quality Thesis Topic (QTT) based on the material covered in that Part of the class. These QTT's will will serve as the foundation for Papers.
