MATH 1050 Lesson 20

Lesson 20: Discrete Mathematics

Objectives:

Two kinds of number patterns or sequences occur so often that they have been given specific names: arithmetic and geometric sequences. You will learn how to recognize either of these two patterns, find common differences or common ratios, and find the n-th term of such a sequence for given values of n. Formulas are developed so that you can find sums of either kind of sequence.
