Lesson 2: Basic Concepts (Review)

Objectives:

This section reviews the properties of the rectangular (Cartesian) coordinate system. You should be able to apply the distance formula, find midpoints of segments, determine the equation of circle satisfying given conditions, and identify those equations which represent lines or circles. You will also use a graphing calculator to view graphs of equations and adjust the viewing window to see all intercepts.
