Web-Based Statistics: Midterm Survey
We have now completed the first half of this course.
In order to successfully achieve the objectives of the course,
I need some input from you: I would like to know what you think
of this course so far and what your suggestions for
improvements are.
So please copy the questions below into a mail editor and
e-mail your answers to
symanzik@sunfs.math.usu.edu. Please be aware that
your answers will have ABSOLUTELY NO INFLUENCE on
your grade in this course. However, if you don't want to reveal
your identity or your e-mail address, you can fill out this
survey in class and mail it from one of the
machines in the classroom using the USU Mail.
Thanks a lot!
And here are the questions:
- So far, has this course met your expectations?
- What do you like most in this course?
- What do you like least in this course?
- What do you think of the in-class activities
(student presentations, "lectures", exercises...)?
Would you prefer more or less of such activities,
or is the current amount ok?
- What do you think of the homework assignments
(too much, too little, ok)? Are the assignments
appropriate for the content and the requirements
of this course?
- There have been plenty of papers distributed
in this class. Did you read only those that were
required as reading or did you also read additional
ones? Should we continue distributing additional
papers that are related to this course but are
not discussed in class? Or are these papers a
complete waste of paper?
- What do you think of the group work?
Do you find it convenient or have you
encountered any problem so far?
- Do you have any suggestion for the
remaining two weeks ? Is there something you want
to learn about or discuss that is not
in the syllabus? Would you like to see
any changes in the format of this course?
Also, let me know if you have any other comments
or ideas!
