• 10) Here are some final comments regarding the sample midterm and the upcoming real midterm. Question 18 should read "alpha/2=..." (and not "alpha=...") and "z_alpha/2=..." (as before). In this case, answer d) will be correct as stated in the solutions. As Alex, did not go over the exponential distribution in class, there won't be any question (such as Question 14 in the sample midterm) related to this distribution in the real midterm. You can safely ignore Section 5.5 in the textbook. Otherwise, the real midterm on Friday will be very similar to the sample midterm. Good luck!
