In college you have options. Along with choosing classes that build your skills and suite your interests, you will want to take classes that fulfill degree requirements. While degree plans differ, every degree plan requires you to complete all the general education courses.

With over 120 majors to choose from, deciding what classes to take your first semester can be overwhelming. Here are some registration guides that might help. 

Students are undecided for a variety of reasons. Exploratory Advising is here to help you through the process of choosing your major. To help you narrow down the options, we have created focus areas.

You may not know exactly what you want to major in, and that is ok. The tracks, listed at the right, will help you as you explore your interests and introduce you to courses that might get you started. 

Advising for First-Year Exploratory Students

For general registration questions, please contact our office at  or (435)797-0283, or respond to the text message you recieved from (435)200-3628 regarding registration. Our normal business hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We will also have extended hours on April 10 and April 11 from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. where the Orientation Office will be answer questions via text message and email. 

If you have questions regarding your first semester registration, after you have utilized the instructions listed in this guide and completed Module 2 of New Student Orientation, you may schedule an appointment with an Exploratory advisor.
