Switzerland Design Thinking - Summer

Students applying to any USU-sponsored program should be prepared to submit the following information as part of the online application:

  • Names, phone numbers and email address for emergency contact
  • A one-page personal statement. (minimum of 250 words)
  • Health information (kept confidential)
  • Signed and dated Student Rights and Responsibilities. Download Form Here.

2.75 GPA

 Must have completed 1-year of university-level study

Application Fees:

Students should also be aware a non-refundable application fee of $150 and $100 program deposit is due with their application. All application fees and the program deposit are non-refundable. Applications will be considered incomplete and will not be reviewed until the application fee and program deposit is paid.

To pay the application fee and deposit, please print the following Form and pay at the Registrars Office.  Proof of payment can be scanned and emailed to connie.rk@usu.edu or brought to the study abroad office in the Military Science Building Room 118.

Program Fees:**

The program fee for this program is $3,745 (or $3,905 for age 26 or over).  Plus $150 application fee  

Fee payment schedule:

  • November  25: $250 (due with application {$150 application fee + $100 1st deposit})
  • January 15:  $300
  • March 28: $3,420*

*If 26 years of age or older on June 1, your Swiss railpass is $170 more because you are considered an adult and not a youth.  Your final balance due is $3,590.

** All program fees are non-refundable.

Withdraw Policy

Should you choose to withdraw from the program, your application fee and any subsequent payments will NOT be refunded.  In addition, you  are required to find a replacement for your place in the program.

NOTE: You may take up to 12 credit hours of non-matriculated grad credit if you already have a baccalaureate degree. Note: there are no prerequisites for this program.
On a separate sheet of paper, please answer the following question in a clear, thoughtfully prepared short essay (~ 250 words). Introduce yourself and explain your goals for studying abroad. What specific situations from your past (i.e coursework, job experience, travel, intercultural experience) have helped you prepare to accomplish these goals?
