What Covid Pandemic Landscape Changes Mean for USU Employees

June 8, 2022

As the COVID pandemic landscape changes, USU will be making some changes to leave and on-campus testing options starting June 30, 2022, including:

  • Discontinuing USU COVID-19 paid leave
  • Closing on-campus testing centers

Staff still have options they can use if they face exposure or illness moving forward:

  • Use accrued sick (or vacation leave if needed) in the event of COVID exposure, just as they would for any other illness
  • Discuss possible options for telework where feasible if exposed or asymptomatic and still well enough to work
  • Utilize free at-home testing kits available through https://www.covid.gov/tests

If you have any questions about what to do in the event of COVID exposure, or how to handle leave after the USU COIVD-19 paid leave is discontinued, please visit https://usu.edu/covid-19 or reach out to the Human Resources Department for clarification.
