USU Dining Services Honors Emily Lyman as Employee of the Month

Emily Lyman, supervisor for the Skyroom Restaurant, was selected as the USU Dining Services' Employee of the Month for October. The selection was based upon Dining Services' core value of passion.
"We enjoy what we do and it shows,” said Alan Andersen, executive director of USU Dining Services. “We have a personal vision of what we are accomplishing as an organization and love to make things happen.”
Her management team and employees spoke highly of her during the nomination.
“Emily looks at the Skyroom with a passion for both the customer and the staff,” Andersen said. “She looks for ways not only to improve sales to the Skyroom but also to enhance everyone’s experience both the guests and the staff.”
A coworker said that Emily is very dedicated to doing a good job and that she cares about each customer and ensures that every one of them have a good experience at the Skyroom.
Although Emily is the supervisor, she demonstrates passion by always doing all she can to help the servers, chefs and everyone at every level of the Skyroom to make sure it functions, as it should, Andersen said. Emily really cares about this restaurant and works tirelessly, he continued.
Emily was awarded a $50 Aggie Express Card as well as a plaque.
