Stephanie Ingalls Named Academic Coordinator for Utah State Athletics

Stephanie Ingalls has been named an academic coordinator within the Utah State [University] Athletics Department, it was announced Wednesday [Aug. 19, 2015] by Senior Associate Athletics Director for Student Athlete Services Brian Evans. Ingalls officially began her duties at USU Monday, Aug 10.

“I’m very excited to be at Utah State,” Ingalls said. “This is an opportunity of a lifetime and I love working with football. Utah State is a great program and I am glad to be here.”

In her position, Ingalls, who replaced Bill Irwin, will serve as the academic coordinator for USU's football team.

“Steph is a good fit for our unit, having experience at a Mountain West member institution and a background working with football student-athletes at Wyoming,” Evans said. “She understands the academic nuts and bolts and just needs to learn the names, majors and personalities.”

Ingalls comes to Utah State after spending the past five years at Wyoming. She served as the learning specialist/academic coordinator for the football team and spirit squad for one year. Prior to that, Ingalls served as a tutor/mentor in Wyoming’s athletic academic support office, working one-on-one, primarily with football and men’s basketball at-risk student-athletes from 2010-14.

Ingalls earned her bachelor's degree in speech pathology from Wyoming in 2010. She then went on to earn her master’s degree in in adult and post-secondary education from Wyoming in 2013.

The native of Sheridan, Wyo., has two sons, Chord (15) and Khase (5).
