The Utah State University Water Initiative hosts its annual Spring Runoff Conference March 28-29 at the university’s Eccles Conference Center. “Data-driven Water Management for an Uncertain Future” is the theme for the 2017 gathering.

“We welcome participation from every college at USU,” says Nancy Mesner, professor in USU’s Department of Watershed Sciences and conference coordinator. “The purpose of the conference is to share diverse water research across disciplinary boundaries.”

Conference topics include water science, ecology, policy, engineering and management.

Student participation in the gathering is $25 for two days or $15 for one day. Cost to professionals is $75 for both days or $40 for one day. Discounts are offered for conference attendees who register by March 19. Online registration is available at the conference website

Research posters are also invited for the conference’s two-minute “lightning talks” during the main session and evening poster session at the Logan Country Club. Submissions are invited from undergraduates, graduate students, faculty and professionals involved in water-related research. Submissions can be made online and are due by Friday, March 3.
