Science Week 2024: USU College of Science Hosts Campuswide Activities Nov. 4-8
Student-led Science Council plans celebration week featuring the Rapid Fire Research student presentation event, along with socials, wellness and informational gatherings and a trivia night on USU's Logan campus for all Aggies.

The Utah State University community is invited to enjoy brain-energizing, stress-busting fun as USU’s College of Science student council hosts “Science Week 2024” Nov. 4-8.
“We have an awesome week planned for Aggies,” says Evan Anderson, USUSA College of Science senator. “We’re hosting creative de-stressing activities and games, along with our signature Rapid Fire Research student presentations event.”
All are invited to free Science Week activities coordinated by the student-led Science Council on USU’s Logan campus, which include:
Monday, Nov. 4
All Aggies are invited to flex their creative juices at Molecular Masterpieces from 6-8 p.m. in the Taggart Student Center International Lounge. Activities include pumpkin painting and science-themed coloring pages while enjoying free snacks provided by the Science Council.
Tuesday, Nov. 5
From noon to 3 p.m., all Aggies are invited to Dogs, Donuts and De-Stressin the TSC International Lounge. Relax with therapy animals, while enjoying donuts, hot chocolate and coffee. (Please bring your own mug to reduce waste.) Join in a stress-busting dance party and visit booths with information about campus and community resources, opportunities and activities highlighting health, wellness and student advocacy. You matter.
Wednesday, Nov. 6
Rapid Fire Research, the College of Science’s popular student research presentation event, is back from 5:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, in the Emert Auditorium (ESLC 130) of the Eccles Science Learning Center. Participants have four minutes and four slides to present their big idea. USU undergraduates and graduate students of all majors are invited to participate in this fun, fast-paced activity before an enthusiastic, supportive audience. Prizes will be awarded to the top three participants, judged by faculty members. Refreshments will be served and all are welcome.USU students can apply online to present at Rapid Fire Research through Friday, Nov. 1.
Thursday, Nov. 7
Love trivia? Head to the TSC Hub from 6-8 p.m. for Science Trivia. The Kahoot-style competition features prizes and free refreshments.
Friday, Nov. 8
Warm up with delicious hot chocolate and coffee from 10 a.m. to noon as you learn about academic opportunities available at Utah State. The gathering is planned for outdoors on the TSC Hub patio. In the event of inclement weather, the activity will be held inside the TSC Hub.
