Planning for college starts early. It is important for students to have clear and realistic goals. One of USU STARS! GEAR UP’s goals are to assist students with college planning and preparation. The Federal Student Aid website, home to FAFSA, has checklists to help.
The checklists are for both students and parents. Research shows that family involvement in education improves outcomes. These 'To Do' lists will help improve your chances of getting into, being able to afford, and be successful at--the school of your choice.

College Admission Tests like the ACT
Many students take a college admissions test like the ACT or SAT in their junior year. Tests are offered seven times a year, and may help you better plan your senior year. Information and test dates are on the ACT Test and SAT Test pages.
