USU PianoFest 2022

Saturday, March 26, 2022

PianoFest will take place on Saturday, March 26 at Utah State University in the Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall and Chase Fine Arts Center. This exciting, educational piano event is open to pre-college students of all ages and abilities living in the Intermountain area. Students will be grouped into categories based on their age. They can compete in either Division 1, 2, or 3, and the Concerto Division. This is an open competition, anybody is welcome to listen to the contestants perform. Some divisons may need to be split into two sections based due to high enrollment. In these cases, students will be divided by age. Concluding each division, an honors recital will be held where participants will receive written evaluations, winners will be announced, prizes will be raffled; and students who receive 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place awards will perform one piece of their choice. All applicants will receive their room and time assignments one week before the event. PianoFest registration is due Tuesday, March 1. For YC students, participating in PianoFest will automatically satisfy the requirements for the AIM program performance test.

Application deadline: March 1, 2022
