Utah State University Outdoor Recreation Program (USUORP) exists to provide Utah State students opportunities for personal growth, educational connectivity and discovery that outdoor adventures can uniquely facilitate. USUORP is a division of student services under the department of campus recreation. The majority of USUORP funding is derived from student fees. The only other source of funding is from revenue generated through rental of equipment and the participant fees for activities and outings. Because of this the USUORP’s main emphasis for the focus of resources and services is on current USU students.

 

 

The USU outdoor recreation program (USUORP) provides adventure and discovery to USU students. Students are connected to their local and regional community by encouraging them to test their own real or perceived psychological and physical limitations through non-motorized recreational opportunities. This exposure is through programmed trips, access to equipment, and courses in outdoor recreation activities, leadership, and programming.
