Campus Recreation

Here are some links we here at the USUORP find useful to the things we like to do:

• Nordic United - A Cache Valley non-profit that promotes non-motorized winter recreation and shares many of the basic ideals as the Outdoor Recreation Program staff.
• Utah Avalanche Center - Great source for the most current avalanche forecast (don't forget to come in and grab a beacon, probe and shovel before you go)
• SNOTEL - A very accurate tool for knowing the amount of snowfall in a particular area.  These data collection stations are maintained by the NRCS to model and predict water flows.
• Idaho river flows - Useful for predicting what the river might look like when you get there.  If you aren't sure what CFS is come see us.
• Utah river flows - The same type of data as listed in the Idaho link NOAA - The most accurate site for weather, great for deciding which skis to bring on the yurt trip, or if you should pack the tent on your next outing.
